Meet RaeAnn

QuickBooks is rolling out some seriously cool tools. Their new AI Accounting Agent can auto-categorize transactions, the Finance Agent can flag insights in your numbers, and the Customer Hub pulls all your client info into one place. The Business Feed even shows you what the AI has already taken care of for you.

It’s all really impressive—and it definitely cuts down on some of the manual busywork. But here’s the thing: no matter how smart QuickBooks gets, it’s not a replacement for having a trusted bookkeeper on your side.

Here’s why:

  1. AI doesn’t know the full story.
QuickBooks can guess where a transaction belongs, but it doesn’t know that the “office supply” you bought was actually a laptop that needs to be tracked differently. It won’t ask you if that dinner was with a client (deductible) or your family (not deductible). That context matters—and that’s where I step in.
  2. AI can still get it wrong.
The system might auto-categorize, but misclassifications happen all the time. A couple of errors here and there might not seem like a big deal, but they add up quickly—and suddenly your reports don’t match reality. I’m the one double-checking, reconciling, and making sure what you see in QuickBooks is accurate.
  3. AI doesn’t care about your goals.
QuickBooks can show you KPIs or forecast cash flow, but it won’t tell you how to use that information. Should you hire that new employee? Can you finally pay yourself more consistently? Is now the time to invest in growth? I help you connect the numbers to your real-world decisions.
  4. AI won’t talk to your tax preparer (or your clients).
The Payments Agent can send invoice reminders, but sometimes collections require a more personal touch. And when it’s tax time, QuickBooks won’t prep a clean package for your CPA or explain the story behind your numbers. That’s my job.
  5. AI is a great tool. I’m your partner.
Think of QuickBooks AI as your assistant. It works hard, but it still needs oversight. I make sure the work it does is right, keep everything compliant, and translate those numbers into plain English so you feel confident about your business finances.

👉 QuickBooks may be getting smarter, but it still needs a human who understands you. With me on your side, you get the best of both worlds: powerful automation to handle the busywork, plus the peace of mind that your books are accurate, compliant, and aligned with your goals.
